have you tried here? http://www.radioreference.com/module...e=RR&ctid=1308

according to the DB, yes the 396 should work with at service.

Have you purchased the ARC software? I live in Dearborn Heights and can hear westland just fine.

If you're new to the 396, you are simply discovering the sharp learning curve. Don't worry, it happens to all of us.

PM me if you need help once you have looked over the radio reference database.

If you are in wayne county yes it will work great. I live in Rochester and can get good copy of the system. But need the GRE amp. Without it I dont get it till I get near Detroit.
I think a rule of thumb is you can listen well to digital systems within 20 miles of tower.
I have my 996 programed with all of the Michigan's trunk systems setting my gps to 20 mile range. I tried 30 miles but many systems just dont get out that far most of the time.
Your mileage may vary and conditions can change that increase range.

You should be hearing them fine. Just need to learn your radio, and learn how to program it, that's all. I hear Western Wayne just fine with the stock rubber duckie that came with my Pro96.
