Default Pursuit last night!

Anyone else in southeast Michigan hear the pursuit with Dearborn Heights last night about 1:45AM? What an intense pursuit!!

I missed the beginning of the pursuit, so I'm not sure what they were chasing him for, but I heard the pursuit and locked it in, then I heard both units sirens fly by my house!!

Here's a play by play as best I can recall.

Anyway, it started out in the Heights, speeds 75mph. They made it out of Dearborn Heights, and got to Warren and Telegraph, passed over Telegraph and came upon a dead end.

Suspect Crashed.

Suspect rammed squad car, one unit out of the pursuit.

Back on Telegraph, 95 MPH

Westland Joined.

Westland Terminated

Garden City Joined

Garden City Terminated

Approaching 7 mile.

Instructed to Terminate at 8 mile

(At this point there was another city with him, but not sure who.)

Approaching 8 mile, Dearborn heights terminated.

Other assisting unit continues on.

Suspect crashed again. (Wonder if he had help? )

In custody.

Durango Catches Fire.

Car confirmed stolen.

Very intense chase, all officers remained very calm though and handled it well.

You know, scanning is always somewhat exciting because with a busy enough area, there is always something going on, but the few minutes of this pursuit made all the barking dog complaints worth listening to!

You should probably post this in your states incident forum.

We just had a local one that was pretty amazing listening. Sadly it ended up with two young kids dead and one state trooper injured. Much more entertaining when they end with no one getting hurt.

I've not heard many pursuits in my years scanning. I can imagine how fun they would be to listen to.

I like listening to an adjacent towns Sheriff's Department helicopter. They always make several huge pot busts during the summer, and those are very fun..

I heard one at the age of 14 what was not that long ago at all. However they had a good one up north when I used to live up their.

They where looking for a person wanted for drug use and DWI. So they put out the plate number and all of that. So about an hour a later they had the car behind on cop. So then they went back and forth and then it was cool when they had him at gun point.....So i've only heard one in my lifetime so far.
