Need Some Local Knowledge

I have a couple of 3-hour layovers at DTW next month and I have been working on some ARC396 files for the trip. What Im wanting to know is if it would be worthwhile to write one for the Detroit 701 system to listen to Detroit PD and FD while at the airport? I realize my location in the terminal plays a big factor, but would I be close enough to get a decent signal to hear anything while there. Also what would be the closest MPSCS tower to DTW?

It's very unlikely you would be able to monitor Detroit's 701 from Romulus.

T0205 Flat Rock & T0206 Northville are your best bets for MPSCS at DTW.

Made my trip to Minneapolis last week with my 2 layovers at DTW. On the north side of the Northwest Airlines terminal in the A concourse, I was able to pull a signal from Detroit with a BCD-396T with the RS 800 mhz antenna. Just a short time to listen though. As far as MPSCS goes, I was getting the 206 tower pretty well also from the terminal. Thanks for your help guys.
