Ypsi Twp. Fire Dispatch

I have heard it said that Ypsi Twp. Fire was going to dispatched through HVA, but I haven't heard anything since, nor have I heard HVA dispatch from their own talkgroup. Has this change already taken place?

The change as not taken place. There has been some testing. Uknown if they will remain on the Ann Arbor TRS or if they will go to 154.250. Should know something starting December 1st........

I have not heard anything about this either. I would have to believe that HVA would dispatch them on 800 MHz, especially since they have become accustomed to using this band. However, HVA would have install some new equipment in order to dispatch them on 800 MHz. As Eric stated, we should know something after the first of the month.

Also, I have never heard them on the MPSCS channel. Where do you most commonly hear them off of?

On the MPSCS, they are always on the Northville tower. YTFD's base transmitter automatically affiliates with that tower, since the antenna is pointed in that direction. This will be changed once the Washtenaw County MPSCS simulcast system comes online.
