Default Livonia EDACS

I live in Ypsi, and am wondering if anyone has been able to pick up the Livonia EDACS TRS. I have it programmed in correctly, or so I believe, but can't get anything. I am assuming I am too far away, but Livonia isn't that far, and I have been able to pick up the Flat Rock 800MHz tower, which is further away, without any problem.

Just seeing if anyone else can pick this system up.

I hear them just fine. Although their signal can get a little choppy when the weather is bad. They want to join the MPSCS, but have no money to purchase new radios right now.

Thunderbolt, do you use the RS 800MHz duckie? I seem to have a little trouble holding on to the control channel. I have to hold my scanner just right to pick it up.

No, I am using a discone antenna. There are times, even with an outdoor antenna the Livonia system takes a signal fade. Amazingly enough, this system is rated for an ERP of 500 watts, but I have a feeling that its probably operating at only 200-300 watts. This would put in on par, or close to what the Western Wayne County TRS is rated at.

I'm a little dated in scanner technology, I still use my Uniden BC895XLT that I bought back in 1998! Anyway I picked up a RS Pro-2051 on EBay for $100 to listen to some LTR and EDACS systems. I have only programmed Motorola Type 2 systems and do not fully understand programming LTR or EDACS. If you get a few minutes can you please e-mail the Livonia EDACS freq's in the order I have to program them in my scanner? I would really appreciate it! You can PM me or e-mail to : pilot_rg@yahoo.com

Default Livonia

Here is the order that I put the Livonia freqs. into my scanner. The one thing to remember when entering EDACS trunked systems is that you have to skip the very first channel in the bank. 01 866.71250c 02 867.30000c 03 867.78750c 04 868.30000 05 868.82500. Put those in order, and also make sure to switch the mode to ED (EDACS).
