Default MSP Zones

Does anybody know or have access to information about the zone for each post in District 2? I read previous discussions on this and I'm just checking to see if anybody learned anything new.

Do you mean where the patrol districts are for each post?

OK, This is approximate...

Post 21 - Oak Park (Metro North), 8 Mile to M-59 in Oakland and MaComb counties

Post 24 - Richmond, Macomb County north of Hall road (M-59)

Post 25 - Taylor (Metro South), Wayne County outside the Detroit City limits

Post 26 - Ypsilanti, Washtenaw County

Post 27 - Groveland, Oakland County north of M-59

Post 28 - Monroe, Monroe County

Post 29 - Detroit Freeway Patrol - Within the Detroit City limits (including the cities that are surrounded by Detroit)

Nope, I have some rough ideas on post 21 zones, but nothing solid to work with as yet.

For the South district I have noticed the following. Officers will move from one area to another to help out as needed. I haven't been able to figure out the North district yet.

Adam- I-75
Baker- I-94
Charles- I-275
David- I-96/M-14
Motors- Motorcycles

In my area some of the MSP post boundaries change at the township level. I have found the following pdf to be helpful to at least narrow down the post coverage limits. It's in order by community name and lists the township, county and MSP post for each.

Although the pdf is from 2002, it appears as if the following is true (most is the same as previously mentioned, but there are a couple tweaks):

Post 21 (Oak Park): Oakland County exc. Groveland, Holly, and Rose Twps.

Post 24 (Richmond: Macomb and St. Clair Counties

Post 25 (Taylor): Wayne County south and west of Detroit

Post 26 (Ypsilanti): Washtenaw County

Post 27 (Groveland): Groveland, Holly, and Rose Twps in Oakland County (my guess is that MSP is their local PD)

Post 28 (Monroe): Monroe County

Post 29 (Detroit): Detroit, the Grosse Pointes, Harper Woods, and Highland Park

Yeah. I've heard post 21 responding to things on I-696 and I-94 in Macomb, so something may have changed since that document.
