Default Anyone in Southwestern MI want a PRO-2096 NOW!?!

I got a call from a store and am making a run tomorrow (Sunday 2-6-05) to buy myself a PRO-2096. They have 11 in stock...so I'm sure I could buy more then one unit. No Michigan sales tax to pay...just would ask for alittle help with gas money as it is a 260 mile round trip to go down there.

What radioshack store is this? I'm in SW MI too and might be interested in taking a little drive and picking one up myself.

Thank
Rick

Default Here's a store that has some in-stock!!!

Well I just got back from picking my PRO-2096 up...unpacked it..plugged in the programming cable and uploaded my files. This is one very nice scanner...very well built and a very loud, very clear speaker. Anyways...since I got mine and the Radio Shack still had 6 units in-stock when I walked out the store I will list the store info:

D & D Electronics (Radio Shack)
1913 N Wayne St. Ste D
Angola, IN 46703
(260) 665-7101

Michigan residents don't have to pay any sales tax....it cost me $499.99 out the door!

Cool! Will you be using it mobile? If you do, I'd be interested in hearing how it sounds in your vehicle. while driving 70MPH.

Dave Diehl is active on the scan_indiana list. I monitor them as well, since I am only about 25 miles from the state line.

With the windows up, mine sounds the same at 70 as sitting still.

No...I am using my first one as a base unit. I plan on buying 2 more in the near future to install in my work and personal vehicles.

Cool! That is the best way to do it. Will you have them all programmed the same?

No actually my home base scanner I usually only scanner the county I live in and one county over...and of course the MSP Post in my area. But when I'm mobile I work all over Allegan county so I scan an "open" bank just to catch more action and make the day go by faster. I tweak my files daily...I hope I don't burn out my memory I reprogram it so often..LOL. I just put in a bid on a new house today and if they except the offer I will actually get my own computer/radio room...then I'll be able to hook all my amateur radio equipment up again...its been in boxes stored for almost 3 years now....itching to get back on the air.
