Canairradio.com has a fairly decent Canforce page, though I can't speak for it from experience as I am far too far away from any regular CF ops/bases to confirm first-hand.

I've looked over some of the HF Frequencies. I'm curious as to how active the shortwave frequencies are around the CFB Trenton area. As well as along with stuff going across Lake Ontario.

I'd be using a slinky style antenna on a DX-394 so not the highest of high end radios.

Gonna be about a 20 km distance from CFB Trenton.

Not sure if this information is still current or not, but I used to occaisonaly hear traffic on 11232 KHz USB that would sometimes include Trenton. You could check the logs in Monitoring Times perhaps and see if there's any listings.

Canadian Navy and Coast Guard routinely visit Boston and I have not found any traffic for them yet. Nothing on the VHF Marine channels, and the radios look UHF, but have not been able to close-call them either.

CFB Bagotville is sometime active, but not always. I search for new frequency in the 225-400 MHz range and found some frequencies but have to find whose those frequencies.

All I hear most is tower and ground frequency.
