T-39 Final flight today?

From what I just heard on the PQL tower freq. sounds like today was last of them.
<missed the beginning>
Tower - "You mean for today"
Pilot - "Forever"
Tower - "Really!?"
Pilot - "T-39s are going away, we're just executing our final student flight."

OK, guess it's true. Simulators and T-45s to be used to replace them.

I think VX31 still has their single T39D at China Lake.

I had one other flight I noticed on mode-s, since Wednesday. Didn't hear any comms from it though.
