Let me start by saying I just have a BC125AT down here in Cape May but have already caught some Mil-air frequencies on the UHF band I programmed in the UHF ATCC frequencies for southern NJ and Northern DE. Even programmed in Dover and Andrews AFB as well as Atlantic City UHF frequencies. This said, does anyone have a current list of active Mil-air frequencies for the area???

Also try 345.000 MHz for the Coast Guard. I know the CG uses that frequency at their air station at Atlantic City but I have also heard them using that frequency off of the coast for training.

Would I be able to pick up any of these frequencies in northern NJ? Perhaps with fleet week coming up, maybe some of these aircrafts will venture further north? Are there any confirmed Northern NJ Mil-Air frequencies that can be picked up without external antennas?

Going to be tough with the stock factory antenna. You might want to look into getting a Diamond rc77 antenna to help you pick up more traffic. I use them on all my handhelds. Heres some common nationwide freqs you can try -

311.000
321.000
323.800
349.900
319.400
255.400
252.100
228.900
260.900
303.000

Thanks so much. I am hoping to eventually pick something up in this band in my neck of the woods.

Ok, I just picked up brief chatter on 255.000 MHz here in Union County using just the regular stock antenna. I was shocked. Do you guys think I picked up Giant Killer or something else?

Almost certain it was Giant Killer because that's all I've been hearing down here and I doubt anyone elsse would use that frequency being that close. I have picked up UHF ATC traffic but it's very unpredictable4

Nice....adding it to my personal database for confirmed frequencies I actually picked up. This would be my first entry for a 200 MHz range frequency.
