South Carolina Air National Guard F-16s Crash in Georgia

Two F-16 fighters collided and crashed in Georgia late Tuesday, officials said.

The South Carolina Air National Guard said the jets were performing "routine night-flying operations" when the incident occurred at around 9:15 p.m. ET over a military operating area in Jefferson County, Georgia.

"The pilots of each of the single-seat aircraft ejected safely," it said in a statement.

The U.S. Air Force will conduct a detailed safety investigation.

In answer to your question Caesar, yes, that time of the night not many military flights up,have Scantenna up at 75 feet on antenna tower and 6 radios scanning all VHF-UHF military bands, remember planes in the air will transmit further.I have been doing this for over 20 years now, BC75XLT,PSR-400,PRO-2052,PRO-433,PRO-163 and Whistler 1065 Digital.
