Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8330/4.5.0.77 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

What type of monitoring are you looking for? Public safety, trunked or just raw FCC data? The database is fairly easy to navigate, otherwise browsing the raw FCC data takes time.

And yes, I do think encryption is an excellent tool.

I'm not sure where you are from. Click on "Database" on the top of this page. Select your country. If you're from the USA, select the state and then the county where the agencies are you are looking for. If you do not see listed the agencies you are looking for, then let us know the details and someone will help you out.

I will just assume you are looking for public safety frequencies. Mound and Orono are dispatched by Hennepin County. All public safety agencies in Hennepin County use the ARMER trunking system so you will need a digital scanner to listen to them. Frequency and talkgroup information for ARMER can be found here:
Scanner Frequencies: Allied Radio Matrix for Emergency Response (ARMER) Trunking System, Various, Minnesota

The public safety departments are on ARMER. Not sure what kind of scanner you have, but you'll need a digital trunking on. If you have the right scanner goto the database and find the talkgroups for mound and orono. I'm not sure if those towns have their own police or not. But odds are they're dispatched by the county. Then you'll need to determine which is the right talk group for that.

Spring Park (Not Spring Lake Park) is in Hennepin County in the Lake Minnetonka area. Police Depts in the area are on the Hennepin South Main and Fire Depts are on the Hennepin Fire Main.

Well that makes more sense. I couldnt figure out why he wanted Orono and Mound when he lived in Spring lake park. Either way, the info is in the database.

Well the county dispatches the police and fire so you'll want the county police and fire talkgroups, and then you'll probably want to put in the city tac talk groups as well. They should all be available in the database. You just need to search a little.
