Minnesota Wiki is Complete!
Hey everyone,
After many sore fingers, 5 episodes of eye rolling from my fiance and a full rebuild of my laptop, I have built out the remainder of the Collaboration Wiki for Minnesota and it is ready for every one to get busy messing around with it and using it. for those of you who are not aware yet, the Wiki is where all of the county specific Info that isn't frequency specific is going to be, such as Unit Numbering or Apparatus lists.
Feel free to post any unidentified frequencies you have and maybe we can all figure it out.
Also if you have any other things that you think should be in there, but lack the motivation to figure out Wiki language, post it in this Forum or PM me with the info.
Minnesota Wiki
Thanks!

This includes all the Mn.trunking systems too?? Either way, this is great news. Thanks for the effort - it's not easy doing one state all by yourself, believe me I know!
Has ticket(s) been entered to delete the data from the database? I THINK someone mentioned that in this state, the DBA just wanted a single ticket that says 'go delete', but don't quote me on that!

Nice work mmtstc! Thanks a bunch for all of your work. If you need help on stuff like this in the future, just let me know.
I made a couple of quick changes to the url's for the links to scanner pages. If I see anything else I can make quick fixes to, I hope you don't mind.

remove ticket was not entered, but the DB admin is aware.
I dont have all of the trunked systems in there, but alot of them have no background additional info nor are they likely to elicit much collaboration. the issue i have is that there are multiple TRS's with the same name which makes it difficult.

We have a procedure set up for those TRSs with identical names, called disambiguation. It's documented in the guidelines. No problem, though - once the trunks are scanned, anything that remains should shake out in the interim.
Thanks es 73 Mike

Excellent work, this is awesome!
I wonder if the Hennepin County section could benefit from some of the information in this thread: Monitoring Hennepin municipalities. Specifically, the information about which municipalities are dispatched on which talkgroups.
I'd attempt to submit it myself, but I don't know anything about editing the wiki.

Ryan the blue headers on the Hennepin county article are more than for just show. If you click on the 'MediaWiki' text, you will be taken to the MediaWiki language reference site. 'Quickref' brings you to the on site Quick Guide, and PDF card brings up a site where you can download a PDF quick reference card.
There are many ways to present lists of information - usually when you're starting off, a straight unordered list is the easiest and fastest way to get things started. That way things can be moved around without a great deal of hassle. Formatting it is simple - put a '*' (shift of 8) in the leftmost column. It's that simple. That's only 1 way to do it.
Since that article is pretty packed as it is, perhaps the best way to put this out is on a new article. Article names are always enclosed in double square brackets, like so...
[[Hennepin County Page 2]] (the brackets are to the right of 'P' on the keyboard)
In fact there's enough information there to split that article into several individual articles. That makes it easy to maintain and add new stuff, like the list smokey is talking about.
Wander through the quick guide and see what strikes your fancy. PMail me if you have questions...73 Mike

Great work on this! I will definitely look around and see what I can add to this. I've already added some info for Anoka County.
