FAA on 135.85 near Mpls

Hearing half of a conversation on 135.85 AM. Flight Check 80 doing checks on ILS 30R at MSP.

They'll be doing a couple more runs Tues (11/3/09) afternoon.

Thats a King AIr checking out the performance of the landing systems. Watched them up here doing the approachs to Anoka not too many monthhs ago. N80 is the tail number if you want to look up the registration. Betcha those pilots are good at Instrument Approaches and dont have to worry about currency for IFR

Found a nice picture of N80 on airliners.net.

When they were doing the checks, they were reading off numbers of what they measured. And I'm sure they are very good at instrument approaches.

Flight Check 80 is here in the Detroit area today. Doing checks on the ILS system at Detroit Metro DTW.

135.850 Air 2 ground CH 1. Talking to maint crew on the ground.
118.950 DTW app, 12:18am.
118.400 DTW twr, 27Left 12:36am.
Should go back to Battle Creek when he's done.

Flight Check will also use 135.950 Air 2 ground CH 2, sometimes.
