Does anyone in SE Mn use the home patrol? Is it worth the money or would I be better off getting something different?(i.e. BCD996XT, PRO197) That I woulsd have to program.
With the HP1 if you have a computer to down load changes will take about 2 minutes. If you change areas or visit someplace all you need to do is punch in the zip code and with in 2 minutes you have everyhting you want in that area. with the 996 or the 396 you have to do it by hand for each area.
And be sure to stop in Rochester and try John Hardy's BBQ
Its one of my favorite places to eat.

Q: Is it Mac compatible?
A: No. Drive your hybrid down to the store and get a real computer.
First time post ;
I have a HomePatrol and was wondering what I need to connect GPS to this unit,I see on the web site that kit BC-GPSK works with this, but looks like something missing maybe another cable,
Thanks.

True, but at ~$460 (459.99) vs 489.00, it would likely still be less, even with shipping on a web order. (ScannerMaster's free ground shipping would narrow the margin.)
