Radio Shack does repairs for that scanner at their facility in Texas. You can send it in for repairs through your local company owned Radio Shack. It will cost you a small fee to cover the diagnostic work, which is applied to the repair cost if you authorize the repair to be done. It may be best to talk to the store manager since the staff may not know how to access the required screen on their POS system (the computerized cash register) or how to process your request. Franchise owned stores may or may not process repair orders depending on what type of store they are (basically which franchise agreement they run under).

They stopped supporting the Pro-96/2096 in 2010 when parts were no longer available.
