Also a unrelated question.. My Wife and I are going to attend Back to the 50's at the State Fairgrounds in two weeks. If I brought the scanner it has a 800 Mhz antenna. Would I be able to hear any calls from Duluth on it??
Man, I wish that was possible, but its not....

It sure does not! Back to the 50's is in the Cities correct? Are you planning on putting in the Cities for Monitoring?

No. We will only be there on that Thursday - Sunday morning..

Yes.. Back to the 50's is at the Fairgrounds in St. Paul. Those will be the days where you will see well over 11,000 pre 1964 cars and trucks. ( Street Rods )

Cool - You will be there 3 or so days? Did you get the Scanner programmed up for your current area?

I would pay for it. You will always want to go back in and make adjustments. Other departments will add talkgroups/switch over to Armer down the road.

It also allows you to put in talkgoups/control channels in the Twin Cities and such when you travel.

Like I said before, I have had mine for over a year and a half, and have not had to pay a cent.... Still running the trial version.

Yes, I would, unless it came from Minnesota and you want to keep some of the data. Otherwise yes, clear away!

Well, make sure you have the software downloaded. Then try putting some data in the program. And try downloading it to the scanner, just making sure everything works oak! Then if it does, go to town programming!

Just try both.. If one Com port doesn't work then try the other.
