Default AAA Ambulance

AAA is in the process of erecting a 150 foot tower at their Headquarters on South 28th Avenue. Bottom section is in place as of two days ago.
Plans are for the units to switch to a repeater system in the near future. Output will probably be scrambled though.

AAA is a Hattiesburg Ambulance service. So he must be talking about Hattiesburg and of course in Mississippi

Default Forrest General Hospital Tower

Forrest General has replaced the tower that was toppled by high winds earlier this year. They dropped the 300 foot version and installed what appears to be a 100 foot tower with a "crow's nest" at the top, similar to what is seen on cellular towers.

The most interesting part of the new tower is the paint scheme. FAA aviation orange and white in sections. Appears to be eight sections, but they are difficult to count at 40mph. The close proximity to the MS80 front helipad is probably the reason for the Aviation painting. (Wonder why they didn't use it on the water tower they placed in the flight path of the front helipad??)

AAA Ambulance has the bottom section of their base tower installed with a current height of approximately 30 feet.

Forrest County, Mississippi
AAA Ambulance or SEMAAD ( South East Mississippi Air Ambulance District)

They do not use 155.235mhz to talk to the helicopter or helo. That frequency is the old Dispatch channel from 30 years ago. The license is still good and the frequency is in the radios but they don't/ won't use it.

155.160mhz is the only current Dispatch channel for AAA and SEMAAD.

AAA and the SEMAAD keep the 155.2350 in the line as its part of the original lic. It can be used as backup if need be .. or they can go to all of them if the TRS has issues. When I was still living in MS they used it occasionally. They used it full time when I attended USM.
