Default Jackson Co. - 169.6500 P25

Been hearing off and on since yesterday after stumbling upon it.

Conventional P25 frequency, 169.6500. Barely readable on a HT in Gulfport, but nice reception in West Jackson County.

This morning I heard a guy named Krebs hail this "Command Repeater".

Said something about being enroute to ["Blue Hole" | "Blue Hill" | ???] Fire, and then listed equipment and such, including a John Deere something.

Heard nothing since then.

This sounds like a forestry or refuge related agency/group.

Further research upon Google inquiry ( Krebs +forestry MS fire ) led me to Fish and Wildlife Service - Mississippi Sandhill Crane National Wildlife Refuge

This will take further monitoring, but I wanted some info to able to post this frequency instead of just saying "Ooo I found a vhf gov't freq but I dont know anything about it."

Bryan

I have confirmed two names used on the air with the Sandhill Crane NWR link above. Will post to DB.
