help programming rankin co.

i have a 296d and I am having trouble getting this system to work..can some one walk me through this...

Use the software it does make it easier.. and there should be an option for "REBANDED" If the change hasn't taken effect yet, then just set it up as MOT II..... Try putting it in two separate "banks" one of them with the original freqs and MOT II, and set the second rebanded in another "bank" . I am not a pro with Unidens but if you have say ARC's software you should be able to do it. The 296 is a rebandable scanner right? Oh and if you can get the new CC's if they have fully implemented the rebanding please submit them, and any new tg's...

Do you have any info on if they are putting the Jackson area Hospital ER's on the Central MS Regional system?

well i set it like we did years ago with only about 11 channels and rankin seems to be working fine..Not sure about the data listed.. Also the 296d is has been updated but I am not sure how to use that function..As far as the er nets not sure if they will move or not..I would think they would, but who knows..

update: finally got it going with the rebanded settings..everything seems to be working great..had to reflash the scanner with the newest firmware..

Is that CC for rankin on analog or digital?

Rankin County is still an analog system as far as I know.... No one has reported any digital traffic on it. there are at least three of you monitoring the system now. This is a good thing, am also hoping that some one can get the new LCN's for the airport EDACS too..... I was informed of the entire tg list for Madison/Ridgeland but don't have the id numbers just the listing from an radio on the system... According to that source there still a lot of analog in that region till after this next two months when they migrate to digital. As far as the Central MS Regional system, there are a lot of Jackson TG's still not submitted yet. JDPW, JATRAN, the other SIX AMR tg's, JSU operations including Campus PD. Am surprised they have not given MHP radios for it yet as it covers a big part of District 1/TroopC area. Guess they arent too worried as the Central region of MSWIN is supposed to be operational within the next two years. Hoping to get anyone in Southwest MS, especially near pike and adams counties to get a fix on the sites there. Cheers.
