Jackson EDACS TRS
Question: Is the old City of Jackson EDACS still up and running?
If so are the DPW, JATRAN, JSU etc still on it?

I changed the EDACS system data to reflect the move of JFD and JPD to the CMSRTRS.
I left the ADMIN, and Detectives TG's up untill confirmation of thier new TG's on the digital system.

The System is still operable, however I don't know if anyone other than JSU is still using it. Just added it back to scanner today, and so far only JSU (04-050) is the only hits that I have recieved in scan mode. JSU is also capable of operating on new digital system.

OK wont know for sure if JATRAN is still on it as they don't operate on Sunday. OK then, so won't know for sure on JATRAN, and DPW till tommorrow . If there is NO activity except JSU by tomorrow night, then we know they all migrated, and will need some serious searching on the Regional TRS for thier talkgroups.

JTRAN and Public Works still use Jackson's EDACS System
JSU and JTRAN and Public Works are still using the EDACS system. To my knowledge, JPD and JFD were the only city department that were transfered to new system. Hinds County and The City of Jackson only merged Public Safety radio operations. I far as I know, no plans have been made to merge other departments at this time. Probably due to budget constraints. Public Safety radios were purchased with grant money.
