Listen between 139 to 144 mhz AM MODE for the thunderbirds...

They were reported using 141.0750 and 235.550 AM at Macdill AFB airshow a couple of weeks ago so there is a good chance they'll be using those here too. But you should scan between 139 and 144 mhz AM mode in order to be sure.

Keesler frequencies:
Keesler Air Force Base Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference

And more about Thunderbirds:
Thunderbirds 2008 - The RadioReference Wiki

All of the local hams will probably be parking their HT's on 146.790 mhz which is the Keesler Amateur Radio Club repeater. I'll be on it, and probably talking to W8DM on it.

Default thunder

Hello again. I have used my scanner on Keesler many times.
I was listening to air traffic on 235.25 today. And I heard traffic on the Golden Knights freq of 123.4.

Scanners are not among the listed items prohibited.

I attended Saturday it was my first time to KBIX, must say it's a nice to see all the rebuilding and the show was great. Having attended several shows in MS. and LA. over the last few years this was one of the best. The food services were a little slow but the parking and traffic out on Sat was the best of any show I have attended. I look forward to more show in the future it's nice that our Gulf Coast is on it's way to rebuilding to what it was pre-katrina. It was also nice to meet Don from the RR.

Default KAFB AirShow

The Thunder on the Bay airshow at Keesler was fantastic. A very well put together show. There was some activity going on almost constantly in the air. The air boss was using the Keesler Tower frequency, 120.75. The T Birds were using 235.25 for coordination during their flight. I dont have my radio in front of me now, but will list some more freqs later that were in use. It was a nice get together with dasboot from Laurel and nexus from here on the coast.

Sorry you weren't able to make the show. That sucks, you worked both days of the airshow? I had to work too but that was midnight shift. So I went but got very little sleep between shifts.

The video I took has now been edited, and its up on youtube. Be sure to watch in HQ.
