Default Plain Talk finally in MS

It appears that at least the Jones County SO has switched to plain talk and done away with 10 codes at least. Anyone know of any other agencies that have made the switch?

Also, is MHP still using the E-Ticket and 11 codes anywhere?

Don't know what an E-Ticket is, but MHP district 4 in New Albany still uses the 11 codes.

This link will answer your question on E-Tickets!

enables police to issue traffic citations using handheld units. Use of the electronic gizmo will save cops up to eight minutes on ticket-writing duties. Currently, it takes an average of about 20 minutes for an officer to write a ticket.

10/11 codes are used by every MHP district. There has been one meager attempt that I'm aware of to limit the use of obscure codes but nothing has worked. It is so much a part of the culture that even the statewide CAD is programmed to operate from them.

Default E-Ticket

I thought E-Ticket was a term WDW/DL used. that referred to an unusually interesting, thrilling or expensive experience. E-Ticket Rides were the best Attraction they had to offer. Sorry unless you are a Disney fan maybe you want get it lol. As far as Plain talk the Jones Co. So use a hybrid of both it seems.
It's seems the newer people may not know the 10 codes.

I think "E-ticket'" is a circa 1980 term. I imagine that is about the time DW dropped that program. It was a pop term in the 80's though.

E-Ticket is also a program in some states, also called e-citation which allows an officer to swipe the bar code on the back of a DL and the driver information appears. Couple of clicks later and the offense info, etc is entered. Much easier on the court, and probably doubles the number of tickets an officer writes since he doesn't have to write out name, address, etc, etc, etc to issue multiple cite's.
