Would anyone that lives in Itawamba county or anyone who would like to tell me how they have their scanner banks organized ? The reason I mentioned Itawamba county is because I live right across the state line from miss. Also, If in itawamba county, what frequencies do you have programmed?

I am not sure what you mean by having "scanner banks organized". But the frequencies I have for Itawamba county are-Sheriff 154.985--fire and or rescue--158.835--Fulton P.D.--155.580. That is about it for law enforcement for Itawamba County. You might be interrested in Red Bay al--155.850--Tishomingo Co--155.940--Franklin Co--155.955--154.785 I live in Tishomingo Co--Belmont--Can you tell me what Marion County uses and the Hamilton state troopers?

Thanks

bee, I live northeast of you about 15 or so miles in Colbert County. My two meter mobile rig receives the Itawamba County Sheriff Dept. (154.985 MHz) as bleedover on the Tishomingo County Fire Net (154.995 MHz). The rig needs better filtering in that range I suppose.

You'll hear me on 145.450 MHz on the Fairview Repeater and 147.150 MHz on the Leedy Repeater (Alcorn county southwest of Burnsville). From time to time local hams are on 146.480 FM Simplex in the Red Bay area and 145.535 FM Simplex when I'm mobile in the Iuka area.

Have fun.

Jeff, I also get bleed over from Itawamba county on 154.995 and 154.985 on my scanners. I was a Security Guard at Sunshine Homes in Red Bay for a year and a half and there was a guy that I could herar talk on 145.XXX -don"t remember-and I think his name was also Jeff. He was a foreman in the cabinet shop. I found that frequency with my pro 2051 using the signal stalker as he would come by the guard shack. Anyway, do you have any colbert county frequencies. The only one I have is 158.850.

Thanks

Jeff, as I was going to work on day last week, the signal stalker on my pro 2051 locked onto a frequency of--I think--147.750 about 6:30. I thought this might have been you. This was in Belmont, I now work at "Schnadig" in Belmont. They don't want me to shoot anyone there either. Oh, well! Kinda picky!

Oh, and Jeff I know where the tower is the Natchez Trace uses in the Mynot area. As I cruise around that area with the signal stalker on, and it finds a signal, it comes as a buzzing, and-or, white noise sound. As best as I can remember(almost positive) the frquencey was 166.235-and or-166.240. I can consistantly (sp) get this signal using signal stalker in that area. If I program these frequencies into the scanner I get this noice from several miles away(30 to 40) Approx. If it is going through the repeater it would be all along the Trace. It was annoying so I took them out of the scanner. Anyway if I purchased a apco scanner would I be able to hear the trace?

Thanks
