Entergy Mississippi
I need the following information on the Entergy MS TRS.... Site Numbers, CC's, alt CC's, site neighbors for as many of the sites as possible. Anyone with any of the newer scanners should be able to obtain some of this data with just the scanner's capabilities.. For anyone that can run either Universal Trunker, or Trunk88 on sites, please do so. The Entergy system has undergone changes in the last few years, thus our database is in need of updating. TY in advance. BTW- there are some sites not listed in the db,.. and a couple of the listed sites may no longer be valid.... The CC's are all in the 850-860.9875 range.. SysID is 2D16......

I know Entergy may not be as exciting to listen to as Public Safety, but please guys lend an hand and submit at least the basicsof Site Number, CC, and alt CC... If you can get the nieghboring site ID's and CC's, that will help too. TY in advance. Basic site map is here if your unsure if there are any towers near you...

For those curious, the following are screenshots of Trunk88 in action on three sites of the Entergy Arkansas system. This was using a DT'ed RS PRO-92 B

I will give you a heads up on a couple of the simple details, some of which you may already know.
They have 4 separate systems that all run the same system ID. They have about 170 or so sites.
the talkgroup ID's are the same on each of the systems. All the radio ID's are the same for all 4
systems. Let me state it a little different. Each radio ID has been entered into all 4 systems.
This way they can roll the fleet from one system to another and not even have to change the
talkgroup they are using. All 4 systems are Smartzone.
Some years back I use to travel all over Louisiana and was able to acquire much of the site system
information. Haven't been able to do that anymore. But made a good dent in it back then.
Someone else will have to help now and try to fill in the missing pieces. I do know they have
someplace in the order of about 10,000 radios on all 4 systems combined. That is what I call
a heck of a fleet to keep track of. This includes both mobiles and portables.

Its now just three TRS's... One for LA/TX, one for AR, and one for MS/TN. We are in the process of reverifyig as much as we can on site numbers, tg's etc, and then will be splitting it up in the db. Thats one reason we need the newest data from sites. Entergy made a few changes a couple of years ago so we want to get as accurate info as we can in the db. There are differing tg's for each system, with only a few common systemwide. They are also planning a full upgrade to digital in the next few years. Another reason to get this baby set up right lol. Originally there were four SmartZones, but they combined LA and TX and have removed a few sites, updated others, and done a few freq changes.

Further data... Each SmartZone is broken into "regions" if you will with each "region" using differing CT's... The two most common being 97.3, and 105.88... The same SysID is indeed used, and many sites use the same CC's in different "regions" with the different CTs
Thats one reason the admin team has had much fun trying to puzzle this thing out...The usage of the same SysID for all the dirrerent TRS's NOT using OmniLink caused headaches for a while..

Awesome.. Now if I can get more data from LA folks.. and those lovely TX folks... I can load the new split TRS's up in the db...... Will hope the TN info falls in asap lol... The Entergy system is a bit of a pita.. so T88 and UT are a must for logging it. Oh Brookhaven I think is still dual site... but may have combined the two licenses into one site..... Jackson is definitely two.... I monitored both then forgot to log lol.

Cool, I'll work on the location info for those then.
On a side note I used the location based scanning with my 396XT on my tour of P2A Saturday and for the most part it worked like a champ. Pretty darned cool feature and one of the data points I'm going to work on DB wide as time goes by.
