Yeah they (T-45's I guess) are rocking Shelby today. Think they started around 8am.

Would be nice to get a "name" for that 320.65.

EDIT...and HAMMER11 just reffered to this as AUX a couple of times now while switching to the ATIS freq and back
Maybe the Shelby AUX referred to the other day?

Maybe this is what they were talking about.

In mid 2007 the Air National Guard opened a new combat training runway at Camp Shelby. The 210-acre (0.8 km2) Shelby Auxiliary Field 1 is one of only two facilities in the world designed for C-17 Globemaster III short-field landing operations. It was constructed to meet Air Force C-17 training requirements.

Edit: posted this before you posted your post. I have heard other units on 320.65 before. It might be an air to air channel for that range.

Yeah, for the most part. It's usually pretty easy to tell the T-45's. Their audio is HOT as heck. Seems to almost always be that same instructor with the very distinctive voice too.

No idea about those RIPPER's though. MAYBE Meridian?

Seems that almost always ROKT's change to HAMMER when they're training at Shelby. If you pay real close attention to the FSS freq. you can hear them coming up the VR. Or at least I can being close to point Alpha when the announce their entry. Since they enter at 1500 ft or less they may not be high enough for you to catch. They also contact KPQL as they pass thru the airspace as well.

NAS Pensacola
TAW-6
VT-4 BUCK (now folded into VT-10)
VT-10 KATT T-6A
VT-86 ROKT T-39 and T-45
USAF AETC
451 FTS SNIPE T-1A
455 FTS JEDI T-6A

Also been hearing some CONGO (always T-1's iirc) call signs entering the VR's in recent months too. No Idea who they are though.

NAS Meridian T-45's
VT-7 TALON
VT-9 BOBCAT

For the benefit of anyone who may be watching:
Keesler AFB
815th AS - HOBBY (sometimes flys RCH(REACH) missions too)
53d WRS - TEAL (Hurrican Hunters)

Hurlburt Field
AC-130s - SPUR and SPOKY (Spooky)
U-28/PC-12's - DRAGON and SLAYER

KJAN ANG C-17's
172d AW - RULER

Yep. It was the Merdian air show that actually got me going on finding the comm cards posted in the cockpits after photographing one in a T-45 cockpit in 2011. LOL

Sent you a PM with my email. Files too big to post here.

You, or anyone for that matter, can find them on the CNATRA web site too. You have to install the DOD security certificates though to view the site. Not a big deal really, Google "install dod certificates" to find out how to do that.
