Default Scanner for MSWIN

Do any of you have any recommendations for scanners to monitor the MSWIN?

Dos
I live in Forrest county and am using a Home Patrol from Uniden to scan MSWIN.
It does a great job.

It will do fine for all Phase I usage. As long as no one you want to hear uses any Phase II, youll be OK.

If you can wait, I would opt for one of the new scanners that are come out around Jan.

Default Scanner for MSWIN

I really don't care about the state agencies, mainly Jones Co. Forrest Co.

Unless you know for sure that they are going to use FDMA, you may want to wait for the new scanners from Uniden, or Whistler hit in March. Or if you can find a good deal on an PSR800 grab it. From what I am being told, the new users coming on MSWIN that need a lot of capacity will be TDMA, and the smaller ones will be FDMA, but must be TDMA capable per the mandates, and the State's requirements. Also just FYI, several new sites are being staged up at Motorola Shaumburg for deployment. As I get more data, I will let you guys know.
