Default Brookhaven, MS. On MISWIN ?

Hello to the forum, I have a friend who lives in Brookhaven Mississippi and they would like to know if Brookhaven has switched over to the MISWIN system ? They had been heard on UHF, but recently he hasnít heard any radio traffic on their normal UHF channels. I recently looked on the radio reference and in Lincoln County nothing has changed. I will next check the library update to see has anything changed there but any help from the four would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance. Merry Christmas, happy holidays and happy New Yearís to all.

Brookhaven PD is still VHF-Hi band.Lincoln SO is digital on MSWIN. No changes as recently as yesterday. The PD abandoned the UHF freq years ago.

Thanks milf, my friend in Lincoln County told me of the news paper article in the local newspaper there of the daily leader and I confirmed that Brookhaven moving to MISWIN now, would the new ID tags and numbers appear in the radio reference database website first before appearing in the library ? Once I find out the new information I have to do a long-distance radio upgrade was my friend who’s very biological is the easy scan software or the use of the scanner I am loaning him

I could always use the UIDs from MOSWIN to Update my MSWIN file. So for those along I-55 could please either record the scanner traffic from the MSWIN (If you have Uniden 436,536 or a whislter) or any UIDs

I will also will take any from anywhere in the state of MS as well.

Could you please send them to me at fullerdavid63601@gmail.com

Major thanks.

Has anyone heard if MS Highway Patrol is planning to go encrypted? I saw in the WCC minutes that they requested money to upgrade 300 radios to AES encryption.

MBI, MHP Tacticals, , SpecOps etc will be going E in the next year. As far as I know Dispatch and Car to Car and Mutual Aids etc will stay clear. Also remember, 300 is a small amount for MHP since the total service would need more along the lines of 1300.

Do you know if Brookhaven FD has made the move to MISWIN ? A friend spoke to one of the local fire personnel, and they said the moon for you to go but I have not seen a talk group update yet

All Lincoln Fire Services are still VHF, and will be for a while.
