You should be able to hear the Battles Communications 800 MHz LTR towers at Rombauer, Dexter and Piggott. Also the MoArk Communications LTR Tower at Poplar Bluff has Rural Metro Ambulance Service and some others on it. Theres also a Battles Communications LTR UHF system to try. Theres not alot of info submitted for talkgroups or LCN's for the Poplar Bluff area, but there is activity on these systems in the area. Most trunking activity will occur during the day as LTR systems tend to be mostly used for businesses.

What scanner do you have?

What kind of antenna do you have?

Where exactly do you live?

Hello! was not expecting any answers so, haven't checked here in a while sorry! I live on hwy 60 west towards Van Buren Mo. just about 2 miles off of hwy. 67 north in butler co. I'm kind of in a valley and my radio shack discone is only around 20 ft. in the air. my main scanner I listen to is a bct-15 but, I also have a pro-163 in my bedroom that is hooked to my small diy. ground plane tuned for around 154 or 155mhz just hanging outside from my low porch roof lol! I do pick of stoddard 155.19 clay co. 158.79 and a couple more fairly distant areas as well as local city and county frequencies all conv, from the 163 since I don't know much about trunking. I sure appreciate the help and kind offerings! gosh, one thing that drive me nuts is when pb. city police say go to tac. just as I'm getting interested lol! I don't know if they go to digital or what but, just can't seem to locate their tac. frequency if, even possible! Thanks Again! I will keep an eye out here more often.

Have you tried loading Bluff's 155.550 with a NAC search?

PB Tac: Be sure to try all the frequencies under Poplar Bluff, including Public Works and the input freq's to repeaters. If it IS digital, chances are you would probably hear the data type sound on the frequencies.

With you Pro-163, do you use your PL/DPL capabilites? It is possible that the tac channel could be on the same frequency as say the repeater or input, but using a different PL tone (not 107.2 PL)

Also, could you check these Remote Links for PL Tones: ?
453.48750 WPWD880 F PBlf PD RF-A Police: Receive Links to 155.55 R FM Law Dispatch 458.48750 WPWD880 F PBlf PD RF-B Police: Receive Links to 155.55 R FM Law Dispatch 453.36250 WQJH499 F PBlf PD RF1 Police: Voter Site to Central Dispatch (FX2-15wt) FM Law Dispatch 453.63750 WQJH499 F PBlf PD RF2 Police: Voter Site to Central Dispatch (FX2-15wt) FM Law Dispatch 458.36250 WQJH499 F PBlf PD RF3 Police: Voter Site to Central Dispatch (FX1) FM Law Dispatch 458.63750 WQJH499 F PBlf PD RF4 Police: Voter Site to Central Dispatch (FX1) FM Law Dispatch
Please, if you are interested, check the whole page of Butler County (and others you can pick up) for frequencies that dont' have any PL/DPL tones listed. Finding those can be exciting for some people. Also, we'd love to get them into the database! Use the SUBMIT tag at the top of the county pages to send us any information you find. (Let me know if none of this makes any sense)

In case you've never found this, these are all the business frequencies for the county:
FCC Licenses and Scanner Frequencies for Butler County, Missouri (MO)

Also, research those Air Evac Lifeteam frequencies for DPL tones (like D032 or D074)

Be sure to check the surrounding counties for towns and towers that are close to you.... see what you can find. Also, the trunked systems that are listed at the bottom of each county. Not sure excatly how the 163 works, but make sure the bank is open or you have the wildcard? on so you get ALL talkgroups.

Hope that helps.
