Default Sikeston Police Going Digital?

I see that the city of Sikeston, has applied to the FCC to modify their current license: WPKX683. They have added the emission designator of 7K60FXE, which is for MOTOTRBO digital voice ops. I wonder when they plan on using it?

That makes sense. Switch to a non interoperable system, with grant money not available for.

Sounds like the salespuke did a good job.

Sikeston Police already uses a digital conventional channel. They call it Channel 10 and it is on 159.0150 NAC 293. They also use this same frequency (159.0150) with a PL tone of 100.0 and call it channel 3. It appears the way things are setup that Sikeston Police are not following the FCC license. 159.015 shows as mobile but they have been using it as a base for a long time now, it can be heard 40 miles away..

I hear both the analog and digital here fairly well in Kennett which is about 60 miles from Sikeston.
