According to a reliabe source the "new" APCO 25 system should be up and running by March 2, 2009.

I was also told this week that it should be up and running in less than 3 weeks.

Radios are being reprogrammed and the final ;-) kinks worked out.

I was emailing a guy who lives near Hampton and Arsenal and he said the system would be in use by March 3, 2009. Finally. Heard extensive testing 2-17-09 on TG #10013 doing simulated dispatching.
After a while they repeated dispatches. With no info given on location of occurance. Calls would go to A-24 with an assist by A-25 and this went on for an hour around 5:00 pm
