Default Bridgeton PD going P25 digital?

All day today there have been radio techs working with Bridgeton's radio system off and on. At one point this morning, I thought I heard either one of them mention P25. Then, around 2PM, the radio tech asked all units to hold traffic for a minute. Shortly thereafter, all I could hear was static that sounded like digital transmissions. After around 20 minutes, the dispatcher came back on advising units they could resume normal traffic and it has been fine since.

My assumption in this is they are working on and testing converting their frequency to a P25 digital signal. I also noticed that the audio quality has been MUCH improved over last year as there used to be so much background noise it was very hard to hear anything. Does anyone else have more/better info about Bridgeton?

I have also noticed that you do not hear the large amplified sound of the mic.
