Arrow joplin p25 and gre psr 600

I just received my gre psr 600 and programed it for Joplin Mo. On the police ban I can hear the patrol car clearly but on the same frequency it sounds garbled when dispatch answers. Am I missing something in the programing?

Doug,

No, you're not missing anything in your programming. For some reason, the PD saw fit to enable encryption for their dispatch and some supervisors. They started it a few months ago.

Regards,
Paul

Paul thank you for your reply. Thought that might be the case.

You're welcome. I don't monitor Joplin a whole lot anymore. I live about 30 miles north of there, and work on the south side of Joplin, so I don't get to hear it as much as when I lived in town. I did notice that there are some more Medical talkgroups, but haven't had a chance to monitor enough to track to whom they actually belong.

Regards,
Paul
