Mostly they were working the gravois arm(had problems at the gravois 5mm) and as far out as the 16mm on the main channel. And I should clarify; I shouldn't have said water patrol anyway because the mobile unit was identifying as operator 26 instead of a HP badge/unit #. Maybe a radio tech? But more than likely on water patrol boats.

I do... Gets pretty busy in the summer so i keep it off the feed. I might add it permanently once i stream my new scanner. I'll activate them for while though now while they're not too busy.

I haven't heard any testing in a good while here in the Bootheel. Dunklin County used it more yesterday & last night than they ever have. The deputies weren't happy with the audio. One said it still needs adjusting.

Scott County,MO
Is the county itself on the MOSWIN and if so have anyone have the talk groups and RIDs ? If so I would like a copy of them.
Thanks a bunch.

Talkgroups and Towers
I just recently got a Pro 197 and using Win 500 to program it and although i've programmed scanners, commercial radios, etc for several years, I am new to figuring out how this MOSWIN network operates... the way i have my scanner programmed as of now is whatever agency talkgroups i want to listen to under seperate towers for their area... ie Rolla PD and Troop I through the Rolla tower site....Laclede County through the Lebanon site, etc. Since this is a statewide network, is there a way to program say Rolla PD through the Brinktown tower site (the site i am closest to).... or do they have to be through the tower site closest to the agency? I did play with the software and scanner and tried to see if i could receive them all through Brinktown, but didn't have any success, all that I heard for several hours was only Maries county...

towers
If a user(Radio) from the agency is 'roaming' onto one of the MOSWIN towers, whichever talkgroup that radio is on will be carried off that tower.
As an example, if Im listening to Region H IO Call, and I travel to st. louis, the tower my radio is on will carry the region H IO call talkgroup. Once I leave a tower's coverage area, that tower will no longer carry that group.

OK, that makes sense, just wasn't sure if I was looking at the way it operated correctly or not.
Thanks!

Reception Update
Was returning to St Louis after a trip to AR and LA. Traveling up hwy 55 I monitored a few MOSWIN sites that I had pre-programmed into my 396xt. I hope my report makes sense and helps some people out with their monitoring of MOSWIN.
TG's - ID's heard
55 - Troop E disp
57 - Troop E disp
58 - Troop E C to C ?? Only heard one car. Poss error on trooper's radio also. Just south of Cape Girardeau.
5603 - Poss Mississippi Co sheriff. Only heard mobile unit. Never heard a dispatcher. Near Sikeston.
7302 - Have no idea. No listing on MOSWIN site for this ID. Heard in Cape Girardeau.
901 - MO Conservation Dept ?? Heard "Ranger 10 to Ranger 21." Only heard Ranger 10. He did say "We are going to monitor the new stuff for a while." Heard north of Cape and south of Perry Co.
Verified site 312 Ste Genevieve 169.6625c
Heard site 304 on 152.660. The site's actual freq is listed as 152.6525. I am guessing the two freqs are just that close. (See next line.)
That may be a problem for programming our scanners. Some of us may be lucky to get two sites with near identical freqs that could cause some confusion. With StarCom21 using 700 and 800 freqs, and farther apart use of the same site control channels, it doesn't seem to be such a problem for them. Just something I noticed. I had this problem with St Charles and (i think) Jeff Co or St Francois Co using the same cc freq or very near the same cc freq that were monitored in south St Louis county. I was able to pick them up at the same time but obviously had different results.
Have a good week.

I doubt that TG 901 is Conservation, but maybe DNR. They are two separate entities and I'm really doubting MDC will use MOSWIN, they don't hardly use their radios now. Rangers would be DNR, Conservaton Agents are MDC.

Camden-Miller Counties
Was trying to find the frequencies for Miller Co tower but didn't find them, however Camden Co tower site is listed as Eldon... which is in Miller Co... just wondered if it was an error since don't see any info for Camden on here other than that listing (for MOSWIN)

Got info today from a reliable source that the Pettis County Ambulance District will be on MOSWIN as well as have a conventional backup. The bid was approved this morning and the job should be completed by Thanksgiving or even sooner.

Laclede SO 100% MOSWIN
Just thought I'd mention Laclede County Sheriff's Office is converted over to MOSWIN. They seem to be having good luck with it. This is on the Lebanon/Laclede site. (170.6 MHz CC)

Wow, wonder how long til everyone will start using it! I'm just hearing stuff regionally in my area for now. Nothing on Troop Dispatch channels. I wish they'd start using it more up here!!

I hear Troop E often on the Troop C Weldon Spring tower but not much Troop C traffic yet. I have heard a Troop C dispatch call for a trooper on the same tower so it sounds like some of the Troop C troopers may be using it but not many yet.
