Central County Emergency 911

Just a heads up to everyone who listens to Fire/EMS in St. Louis County, as of 10/30/13 Central County 911 took over North Central. The frequencies are still the same, just a new dispatching agency. I think that North Central's med-9 channels are not being used anymore and all of the apparatus are using the North Main channel for response. Also, as of 7/1/13, Central County took over South County's departments. As with North Central, the channels with South County are still the same.

The active channels for Central County are:

154.325 - North Dispatch (CSQ)
154.4 - North Main (210.7 PL)

[Central]
154.22 - Central Dispatch (114.8 PL)
151.46 - Central Main (103.5 PL)

[South]
154.16 - South Dispatch (CSQ)
153.89 - South Main (192.8 PL)

I was listening to Central County's North Dispatch 154.325 channel around noon today and have been hearing a lot of EOC radio repair testing with the WPTF687 callsign and the 210.7 PL tone. I'm curious to know if anyone knows what this is about?

Interesting. WPTF687 is not licensed for 154.3250 MHz, nor is there an application in the queue for it. They do have a license for that frequency as KAF919, but ??? on the site they're using.

Yeah I thought it was really weird. They would do tone paging and then say "Radio repair testing from EOC on North Dispatch. This is only a test." and "Central County EOC testing. This is a test only. WPTF687". I live up in North County and it came over really static. And usually CCE's North Dispatch is CSQ but when they were testing they had a 210.7 PL tone.

They probably have a multi-channel base station that they can set on frequency in the event one of the leased lines goes out to the base stations that are up in the North County area. At least that's what came to mind. That site has a monopole tower with several DB-224 or DB-264 antennas on top (what's this thing called isolation? LOL).

License Search - Search Results

It's a licensed callsign for CCE911 but like was mentioned above not specifically for 154.325. The tech is probably used to or was told to use this callsign even though not licensed.

I wouldn't doubt they add PL tones to the North and South dispatch channels.

They're all set with the FCC regarding the frequencies they aquired
