Follow instructions on how to install the cable to your computer. Open Win97 and enter all the frequencies you want into win97(if you have premium subscription from radioreference you can import all of them into win97.)
Then connect the cable from your computer to your pro-97 and turn your scanner on. This will automatically put the pro-97 into programming mode. Next hit "upload to scanner" in win97 and it will then upload the data.
The only problem you may encounter is selecting the right computer port that you plugged the USB cable into. If you get an error in regards to "no scanner attached" or something along those lines(i don't remember the exact phrase used) select a different comport from within win97. My demo expired so i can't be any more specific.
