Bill, sorry for not getting back to you sooner. My wife has been very busy at work backfilling behind a vacancy that isn't being filled and we have two other medical situations in our families as well. I've finally gotten enough practice in with my in-home physical therapist to be able to climb and descend the stairs on my own. So today I ventured up there and was able to sit down in a chair in order to pull my huge federal notebook (5" binder that is overfilled) and retrieve the 2002 Northern Rockies Frequency Guide. For the Gallatin NF the frequencies shown are:
164.825 output/164.125 input for five repeaters
Eaglehead Mtn. (123.0)
Bridger Ridge (103.5)
Washburn (167.9)
164.825 output/169.925 input
Tin Can (167.9)
Monument Peak (123.0)
164.825 simplex (123.0) for the Bozeman area.
The Lewis and Clark showed the following:
Rocky Mtn. Division

Half Dome Crag (103.5)
Jefferson Division
Mt. Howe (110.9)
Big Baldy (156.7)
I show 170.500 in use by the Clearwater NF over the Divide in Idaho for the North Fork and Palouse Ranger Districts. I don't think you will be picking up that Forest on your trip.
This information is dated and I don't have a PDF version on either computer that I can find right now. I will be able to send you a hard copy, but not in time for your trip. Just P.M. me with your address. I might have it on file on my desktop computer upstairs but if you send it to me again, I won't lose it this time. I will dig through my computer files again to look for the PDF copy now that I have the hard copy in front of me. I got it off the Northern Rockies GACC website some years back and normally keep a PDF file copy along with a hard copy, but I don't always follow my own SOP.
I would bet their are more repeaters now. If they were to build a second net for the Forest I don't think they follow the R5 plan, which is to use the repeater input frequency for the output of the new net. I don't think there is any standard practice like this in use in R1 (Northern Rockies).
