Default In Whitefish for the next Month

Hi Folks,

I'll be here in Whitefish MT living up on Big Mountain for the next month. I'm looking forward to helping diagram out the radio systems out here in NW Montana.

Reach out to me if you live in the area.

Warm regards,

Lindsay

Being from just around the mountain in Hungry Horse, I can give you a listing of frequencies that I have for Flathead/Lake/and Sanders Counties if I I can figure out how to send an attachment in a useable format. You should also check the RadioReference.com site for updates. Don't forget to check the State Interoperability Sites.

You shouldn't have any problem picking anything up because the transmitter sites are located on Big Mountain (just behind you).

All is well.

The avalanche was a sad event - I heard it all happen on the radios, the mountain resort ski patrol responded first. 2 were killed, and 2 snowmobilers were adamant they saw two other skiers get buried.

I love the scanner listening here... you can monitor everything happening here in the Flathead Valley and the mountain on one radio.

Any digital activity up there on the statewide TRS? My county has three sites in the SW part of the state, but it's not online yet.

The only digital activity here is the DHS/Customs repeater on 165.2375 which is 99% P25 encrypted. Border Patrol is fairly active as well however they are analog.

I haven't heard any of the state's P25 network - I believe that is still being built out but there are no sites here in NW montana.

I am curious Mr Blanton:

What kind of scanner and what kind of antenna do you use when you are monitoring on the road?

And since this is the first time I have contacted you directly, I would like to say thank you for your website.
