Default Motorola XTS 1500 & 2500

Our Fire Department is looking to buy new radios but every time we ask for a quote we never get it we just get jacked around more and more.

Could someone give me a price on 50 XTS 1500 and 50 XTS 2500 (1.5 w/ NO Front Keypad)???

Did you call Motorola?

There are also literally thousands of vendors out there that would probably do buisness with you for an order like that.

You need to supply more information than just the model radios. Just adding options APCO25 or trunking can add on average $350.00 to the price of each radio and do you need accessories like shoulder mics and/or desk chargers? Those could add $80 to $100 to the cost of each radio.

There is no way anyone on this board will be able to help you no matter how much you plead.

The ones that I have seen recently are about $1,500 for the 1500 and $2,500 for the 2500.

Yeah but what model and what flashcode? I have XTS2500's on my contract that are as low as $1900, but it's a stripped down entry level radio and I have them as high as $3K that are digital capable with encryption.

Like I said earlier, the OP's original post doesn't have enough information.

Your fire department Chief or rep needs to contact someone at goverment/municipal sales at Motorola. They can get you set up with a local contact. This sounds like a big $$ item that would have to be Bid out. Your looking at a minimum of a $200K order You just cant call motorola and say gimme 100 radios 50 of these and 50 of those. Those are high tier radios that have to be set up and it sounds like your going to using a system and they need to be flashed with the right options

Those were the models he asked about, and they are digital. I have no idea what the flashcode is. I was giving him a ballpark, so at least he had some numbers to look at.

I will assume that these will be used in a Motorola Astro or P25 system. If that is the case you should be procuring them via your radio system manager. This will ensure that they are specified per your system requirements (he/she will be the one that needs to add them to your system anyway). You did not mention where you are located to be able to point you toward a good dealer. I can recommend two shops that you may want to quote that do large public safety systems in the Baltimore area. CEI Communications Electronics and Teltronics of Baltimore.
