CM300 and Power Supply

I currently have a Motorola HPN1007A power supply powering a VHF CM300 (Not sure what wattage it is.. model: AAM56KNF9AA1AN. I see that this power supply is only a 10 amp surge at 13.6 volts. I use this radio normally for RX only, but on the rare occasion that I will have to talk on it, sometimes I get the low power indicator upon keying the mic.. I guess it just does not pump out enough juice for the cm300?

Sounds like you need to upgrade your power supply. I use an old Motorola HPN3000A power supply to run my Motorola Radios. Its a dinosaur compared to what they make today but they don't make stuff like they use to. I've ran my 45 Watt Motorola Spectra with this power supply that pull 15A continuous without a problem. If you are looking for something more modern then you can't go wrong with a Astron Power Supply. I would recommend a Astron RS-20 should do the trick for what you need.
