Default Quick CPS Question

I programmed radios for about 7 years but ive forget the answer to this question.

Say I have an HT1250 and I read the codeplug with an older version of software than it was last written to will that cause any problems? Just reading codeplug not writing.

Thanks for any help.

It won't read it if your software is older than the software the was used to program it.
