You can record a small wav file that gets converted into a motorola format, so that when the channel in the radio is changed, if there was voice recorded and associated with that channel, the radio will

although this page wasn't answering up at the moment. Read the help file on voice announcement before you start, as you have to have size and sample requirements to your voice files.

I have also used AT&T Voice Labs to create sound files for a bunch of channels. Some of our radios are programmed with it and some aren't. The Chief wanted to try it before doing the whole department to see if he liked it or not.

Personally, I can't stand it... you're supposed to talk into a radio... you're radio isn't supposed to talk to you. It does have it's place though.
