Default Straight Cord Speaker Mic for HT1250

I am in need of a Speaker Mic for my HT 1250/1550 with a straight cord like the Public Safety Mics but no Ant needed. I want to use my radio in a leather cross the chest rig and my coiled cord speaker mic will not reach from radio pocket to mic holder. Any ideas are appriciated. And I may still try the Public Safety Mic but not sure if the ant will get in my way on my shoulder with my airpack and other equiptment on.

Thanks,

Chris Gaines

Is it an OEM speaker mic? The Waris coiled speaker mics are usually a little bit shorter than the Jedi's, but too short for a radio strap? Are you 8' tall?

Below is a link for a cordless speaker microphone that can be used with the HT1250. Sounds like your application may require Intrinsically Safe rating. If you like the cordless concept enough to pursue, be certain that your employer/agency approves its use.

I think he was actually just wanting to know if they make one, and where to pick one up...
