Default Patching Mototrbo to and 800mhz trunked system

Excuse my naivety, but is there a way to make it so a dispatcher could easily patch through a UHF Mototrbo digital system to a trunked 800 mhz system that uses Motorola Type II SmartZone? If so, how would be the easiest way to go about accomplishing this?

A community EMS agency is looking at purchasing a Mototrbo system, but the higher-ups would like the ability to patch it through to police on their 800 trunked system........just wondering if that was possible?

Assuming that the dispatchers are using a console (Centracom Gold Elite as an example) tied in directly to the trunked system, they can add a MotoTRBO mobile radio to the Central Electronics Bank using a Base Interface Module and a tone remote adapter. The only issue may be some timing and audio chop if system access time is not quick. If the consoles are using a consolette radio to talk to the trunked system, the delay could be a deal breaker in a public safety environment. There may be an option of adding a digital delay module to ensure the audio makes it through but if you have two users on separate systems standing next to each other, you can throw them for a loop!
