Yes, when you create a new scan list just add that channel to it. However, for each channel there can only be one scan list assigned.

think of it in two different terms. Think of it as channels and frequencies. you can have the same frequency in many scan lists but you can only turn scan on or off, therefore you can only have one list assigned to each channel.

ok then in the conventional personality page, under the scan tab you see you can only select one scan list for that specific channel. However, in the scan list catagory you can create as many scan lists as you want with the same frequency in every one of them.

so, maybe a better question would be how to solve my real problem... i am a medic in nyc and i have a zone with a bunch of pd preceints fd and ems .... there are a few "citywide" frequencies that i would like in a few different scan lists. i have put those frequencies in multiple scan lists. now as long as i do not have that channel selected i shouldn't have a problem???

You need to create the same channel as many times as you want to scan it. If you want to have "Channel 1" scan in 3 different lists, you have to create "Channel 1" 3 different times and assign Scan-1, Scan-2, and Scan-3 to them seperately.

This is not entirely true. You can have "Channel 1" in multiple scan lists without creating the channel multiple times. The only reason you would need to create multiple "channel 1's" is if you wanted "Channel 1" to activate entirely different scan lists when you turn scan on. "Channel 1" can only be set to activate one scan list but you can have it scanned on multiple scan lists with just one "Channel 1"

In my radio channel 5 is our dispatch channel. When I turn scan on and my radio is set to channel 5 it activates scan list 1. However, I have 7 other scan lists and channel 5 is in all of them.
