Jedi Series Public Safety Mic Antenna

Hello All:

I have a question about the HT1000 / Jedi Series Public Safety Mic (NMN6244B).

Do I have to use an antenna on the mic?

I plan on leaving the antenna on the radio itself.

I am only using the mic temporarily until I buy a regular speaker mic and I really dislike the antenna on the speaker mic. Any help or answers would be appreciated. Thanks.

when you put a ps mic on the radio it disables the antenna on the radio and uses the one on the mic as the antenna
