Question Moto Batteries

I have a MT2000 that I love. The battery however is a different story. It is such a off label battery that it isnt even labeled. I don't have a problem buying a OEM battery but I was wondering if anyone has had any luck with after market non OEM batteries. I am looking for a 1400 mah intrinsically safe battery. The moto branded batteries are running around 50 bucks on average. Has had any luck with any other brand of battery?

Just out of curiosity, can you explain your experience(s) with W & W?

Thanks.

Also, for the OP, I have had decent luck with BatteryZone They have likely the biggest selection of HT1000/MT2000 batteries out there, with over a dozen Intrinsically Safe batteries alone. OEM and non OEM. And their prices are competitive. Good luck.

I have had W&W packs for Alinco DJ-580's, GE MPE's, a motorola and a Yaesu, all withing the same time period, that died suddenly and when I took them apart they all had cells that were marked with less capacity than the capacity that that the battery was marked with.

I like others learned the hard way, in hard earned money, to stay away from W&W.

I'll never buy W&W again, OEMs are still the best, next for aftermarket batteries take a look at Multiplier, I've never had a failure on any Multiplier pack on any of my radios.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8310/4.5.0.110 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/-1 UP.Link/6.3.1.20.06.3.1.20.0)

I've had good luck with Batteries Plus, they sell Rayovac. I've also bought from Battery Ship. They are an internet seller and sell OEM batteries at very reasonable prices. My 2 cents worth
