MCS2000- Importing New Data into Old Codeplug

Software: MCS2000 Radio CPS vR01.1.10.00

Is there a way to import data from a newly created MCS2000 codeplug into an old codeplug (or just getting around the recognition problems, and writing the new codeplug directly to the radio)? I have tried to "import", "drag-n-drop", and "cut-n-paste" but none seem allowed. Does the MCS2000 pre-date the Motorola Cut-n-Paste era???

The last 2 times I tried to modify older MCS2000 codeplugs, I had to “read” the radios (no problems with the read) – save the data to a new name - spend hours deleting, shifting, or adding data, and then re-writing the modified codeplug back into the radio. Attempts to write a newly developed codeplug directly to the radio(s) – even after reading radio information into the new codplug – resulted in radio recognition errors and failure to write the new data to the radio(s).

I’ve got a few more VHF MCS2000 radios to go – not to mention all of our UHF ones!!! Is there a simpler way to attack this problem?

Problem solved by obtaining/using MCS2000 Radio CPS v.R02.02.00 - which supports the drag-n-drop features. Had some cleanup to do in name/zone character lengths, but it worked well getting the data over. Still have problems getting the scan list recognized though (love these older radios!).
