Default Xts1500

I have an XTS1500 Model I with no display, i am wondering if it is possible to upgrade this to a model 1.5 with display and what i would need to do that?

I thought you could just update the flashcode/firmware.... thats just my thought but i should do some homework because i thought i saw this somewhere where someone had an HT750 and wanted to upgrade it to an HT1250... maybe im wrong.

well sure it can be done, since the XTS1500 is the same radio as the XTS2500, MT1500 etc etc etc. You would need the display for the correct band, a new housing of course, and most importantly a way to reprogram the flash in the radio so it thinks it's an XTS1500 Model 1.5.
