Motorola GP2000 Keyboard Programing...

While programing my GP2000 via the keyboard, I ran into a problem. I can input the alpha channel characters ok, but the + and - buttons must be too sensitive as they insert extra characters to the right of the alpha tag. I can't find any way to delete these extra characters.

Anyone have this problem?

A friend mailed me his copy of the programing manual that 2 more pages than the one I had. Seems that hitting the Zero key 7 times inserts a space, thus erasing the unwanted characters.
